Backup your wallet (recovery text management)

‼Wait! Make sure to back up to protect your precious wallet!
If you didn't back up the recovery text when you first created your wallet, be sure to back it up before putting tokens or NFTs in your wallet!
If you continue to fail backing up, a backup notification pop-up message will appear as shown below while using the app! 😒

💡
Reasons to back up: A recovery text is a combination of 12 or 24 words created together when creating a wallet, allowing users to recover their wallet account on a new device or other wallet services. To put it simply, it is the same as creating a password when creating a wallet. Burrito Wallet is a non-custodial wallet where users independently control the recovery text. If the user does not remember or loses the recovery text, the company cannot provide the recovery text and private key to the user. As a result, users should back up the recovery text and keep it somewhere safe so that it is not exposed to others and you can recover your wallet account yourself!

🤳The backup process is the same as when creating a wallet (👈clicking this, you will be connected to a guide to make wallet)

note: You need to safely store and authenticate the recovery text, consisting of 12 words. Burrito Wallet allows you to store it in three different ways! Direct backup that stores the recovery text directly in a note, captures the recovery text screen, etc.

  1. Direct backup that stores the recovery text directly in a note, captures the recovery text screen, etc.
  1. You can easily copy and paste to clipboard at once.
  1. Backup to Google Drive (Cloud), which encrypts recovery letters and stores them in the cloud
    1. ** For instructions on backing up to Google Drive, see here ⇒
      ☁️
Save and load the recovery text in the cloud

It doesn't matter which of the three methods you use to back up, but I think you can choose the one that feels the most secure! However, remember that you cannot recover your wallet if you lose the recovery letter!

warning! If the recovery text is exposed, someone else can access my wallet and take my virtual assets. 😖 PLEASE keep the recovery text safe from exposure!
